Laura Jaffe

My real estate career began in Southern California where I was a builder’s representative for new homes in the mid-’90s and later transitioned to work with an independent real estate company which allowed for more options.

Before I chose real estate, I was in India where I worked with an NGO helping villagers to improve their standard of living through good nutrition. Part of the job was to liaise with local patrons for funding of projects. Here I gained valuable skills in creating and presenting project proposals as well as advocating on behalf of important work.

I moved to Gainesville, Florida, obtained my broker’s license and worked with a local firm as a broker associate.  Although I liked the college town, I fell in love with St. Augustine and settled here in 2001. I am very happy to call St. Augustine my home.

Through my work and life experiences I’ve acquired many skills needed to better help my customers with their real estate needs: great negotiating, patience explaining complicated contracts, research and analyzing market trends, scrutinizing property surveys and providing well-informed, pertinent advice using the latest technology and up-to-date resources.

In my spare time, I enjoy playing classical guitar, listening to music, walking on the beach and learning new things.  As someone who enjoys history, St. Augustine is the perfect setting for enriching my life.  I also cater to my three cats that are very demanding.
