Is St. Augustine Worth Visiting?

Is St. Augustine Worth Visiting?

Thinking of making the trip to the oldest city sometime soon? You might be thinking, “is it worth the hype?” We might seem a little biased, but we say ABSOLUTELY! Before you brush us off, here’s why we think you should definitely book a trip to our beautiful town.

History

We don’t have the nickname of the “Oldest City” just for fun. Established in 1565, St. Augustine is packed with a rich history that everyone can enjoy! Interested historic battles, settlements and civilizations, art, or architecture? We’ve got it all. You can take a trolly around town and hear the history for each piece you pass, take a walking tour at night to hear the ghost stories, or explore at your leisure. Either way you go, you’ll learn a lot and have fun doing it.

Beaches

There’s nothing like digging your toes in the sand or taking a swim in the ocean on a warm summer day! St. Augustine beaches are all beautiful and you can’t leave without soaking in that Florida sun. If you’re lucky, you’ll find shark teeth hiding in the sand!

Golf

Come play like a pro at The Players course at the World Golf Village or the TPC Sawgrass in Ponte Vedra Beach! They’re not the only game in town, either. There are golf courses all around town (over 10 in the immediate vicinity).

Fun Sites

Where else can you see the world’s largest alligator, climb a lighthouse, sample local spirits, and see a colonial village all in one day? There are so many fun and unique places in St. Augustine that will keep you and the family entertained all week long (or longer!).

What are you looking forward to the most on your trip?
